Bank Vault at Rabobank Faces Structural Issues

CALEXICO, Calif. - May 26, 2018 - (Newswire.com)

When foundation settlement began surfacing in a Rabobank, owners worried that the vault would become compromised. Using steel piles and altering the original plan to accommodate immediate needs, Ram Jack of California stabilized the structure and lifted it to a total of 3.5” in elevation recovery.

If a bank vault is compromised, bank operations come to a halt due to safety issues. Foundation failure left the main vault with limited support, thus calling for repairs as soon as possible. After several attempts to repair the structure with no success, Ram Jack of California stepped in to perform the required lift of the structure.

Ram Jack of California proposed using 70 driven and 30 helical piles to stabilize the settling vault. Using the recently purchased Ram Jack® Manifold Lift System, specifically purchased for this lift, allowed for a uniform lift for several pier locations. The plan was altered and the floor was removed as the helicals were used as pre-construction piles.

Once all the piles were installed, a Manifold Lift System raised the structure a total of 3.5”. Stability was restored to the vault and the bank was able to go on with business as usual.
