viiz Hosts Grand Opening of New Call Center in Anniston, AL

viiz communications, a leader in voice and platform services for the telecommunications industry, yesterday hosted the grand opening of its new call center in Anniston, AL.  viiz has created 75 new local jobs at this center, and they expect to double that number in 2018.  Operating at full capacity, the center could employ 300 people. 

Staff at this center joins other viiz call agents located in the US, Canada, and the Philippines in supporting viiz telecommunications customers in the areas of Emergency Services, Operator Services, Directory Assistance, Message Relay Services, IP Relay Service, VoIP 911 Service, and Customer Care support.    The Anniston location is the second new center the company has opened in recent months; earlier this fall it opened a new call center in Calgary, AB.

Executive Director of the Calhoun County Economic Development Council Don Hopper said he’s enthusiastic about the jobs here now and that the greater impact is that, “those 75 people will have a better Christmas and an opportunity for a better quality of life.”  He looks forward to viiz growing its staff here and ongoing cooperation between the company and the community.
