Concerned Citizens for Community Health (CCCH) has been rebranded and renamed as Scottsdale Community Partners (SCP). The organization has been a part of the Scottsdale, Arizona community for more than 40 years and states that they have recently changed their name in an effort to gain more awareness to their programs.
"We have been helping the citizens and residents of Scottsdale in crisis for the better part of four decades," says Holly Snopko, President of Scottsdale Community Partners. "Our new website is set to go live and we couldn't be more excited about getting the word out about what we do."
Snopko states that among their most notable programs are the organization's Back to School, Adopt A Family, and Healthy Packs.
"Our Cover the Bases: Back to School Program provides more than 900 children ages Pre-K through high school every year with two new sets of clothing," says Jenny Adams, Executive Director of Scottsdale Community Partners. "This program takes place in July of every year and we are proud to work with many community stores and organizations to make this a reality."
Adams states that among the clothing each child receives are a pair of jeans, a pair of shorts and two tops as well as shoes, a backpack and undergarments. The organization states that they feel this helps children to return to school with more confidence because they have new clothing as opposed to wearing the same clothing year after year.
The organization also provides a food pantry, pet pantry, and various other programs to help the citizens of the area, including Healthy Packs, which is a program designed to help feed children over the weekend when they can't get a nutritious meal at school. Through partnerships with various local businesses, the organization ensures that children have healthy and nutritious meals at home just as they do while they are attending school.
