Today PrimeEffects, suppliers of specialty products in the fields of health and safety, reports that citronella oil is now featured in their Mosquito Magician Concentrate, a healthy, non-toxic alternative to chemical based bug repellents. Mosquito Magician is an all-natural pest control formula made with a blend of oils that have specific bug repelling qualities, now including citronella oil.
"We've been refining this formula," says CEO and founder of PrimeEffects, Philip Jepsen, "blending in the right combination of natural ingredients that will give us a powerful spray that's just as effective as the toxic stuff out there. Mosquito Magician Concentrate is delivered in a concentrate form and can be mixed to the desired strength. At recommended levels one ounce will make approximately one gallon of final solution. In addition to citronella oil the formula uses garlic oil, rosemary oil, lemongrass oil, cedar wood oil and geraniol (geraniol is the primary part of rose oil, palmarosa oil, and citronella oil, which also occurs in small quantities in geranium, lemon, and many other essential oils) for its active ingredients. This combination has been shown to work against most typical yard pests, from flies to spider, gnats, mosquitoes, palmetto bugs and more.
